CatalogNow — AI Product Catalog Enrichment for Shopify • Last updated: March 22, 2026

1. Service Description

CatalogNow is a Shopify application that provides AI-powered product catalog enrichment. The service includes:

• AI-generated product descriptions, categories, and SEO metadata
• Vision-based product image analysis
• Content quality scoring and recommendations
• Batch product enrichment operations
• Two-way Shopify product synchronization

2. Account Requirements

To use CatalogNow, you must:

• Have an active Shopify store
• Install the app through the Shopify App Store or development install
• Provide a valid OpenRouter API key for AI features (free tier available)
• Grant the required Shopify API scopes (read_products, write_products, read_metaobjects)

3. API Key Responsibility

CatalogNow requires an OpenRouter API key to access AI models. You are responsible for:

• Obtaining your own OpenRouter API key at openrouter.ai
• Managing your OpenRouter account, credits, and billing
• Keeping your API key secure (CatalogNow encrypts it at rest using AES-256-GCM)
• Any charges incurred on your OpenRouter account through use of the app

CatalogNow does not charge for AI model usage — costs are between you and OpenRouter. Free models are available that require no credits.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to:

• Use CatalogNow only for legitimate product catalog management
• Not attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or abuse the service
• Not use the AI features to generate misleading, fraudulent, or illegal product content
• Not exceed reasonable usage limits that would degrade service for others
• Comply with Shopify's Acceptable Use Policy

5. AI-Generated Content

Content generated by CatalogNow's AI features:

• Is provided as suggestions that you review and approve before publishing
• May not always be accurate — you are responsible for reviewing AI output
• Should be checked for factual accuracy before accepting
• Remains your responsibility once published to your Shopify store

CatalogNow is not liable for any inaccuracies, errors, or issues arising from AI-generated content that you choose to publish.

6. Data and Privacy

Your use of CatalogNow is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Key points:

• We only access product catalog data (no customer PII, no orders)
• Product data is sent to OpenRouter for AI processing
• All data is deleted when you uninstall the app
• GDPR compliance webhooks are implemented

7. Service Availability

• CatalogNow is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind
• We do not guarantee specific uptime or availability (no SLA)
• AI model availability depends on OpenRouter and upstream providers
• We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects service availability
• We will make reasonable efforts to maintain service reliability

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• CatalogNow is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service (if any)
• We are not responsible for losses caused by AI-generated content you publish
• We are not responsible for OpenRouter service outages or billing issues
• We are not responsible for changes to your Shopify product data that you approve through the app

9. Intellectual Property

• CatalogNow's code, design, and documentation are the property of Sumvec.AI
• AI-generated content produced for your products belongs to you
• You retain all rights to your product data

10. Termination

• You may stop using CatalogNow at any time by uninstalling it from your Shopify store
• We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms
• Upon termination, all your data is deleted per our data retention policy

11. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Sumvec.AI operates. Disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first.
